Our Services & Key ESG Regulations
We are helping a number of clients with these regulations. We provide below a short description of the regulation and we provide insight into the type of work are doing for our clients for each regulation. Please click through to see how we are helping clients with each regulation!
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is an EU directive that expands the scope of sustainability reporting requirements for companies. It mandates the disclosure of information on how business models and strategies align with sustainability goals and the impact of business activities on people and the environment.
We help companies understand the scope of application of the regulation to their business or group which includes: which company will be the reporting entity, which companies to consolidate and which date to report.
The European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) are a set of standards developed to provide a framework for consistent sustainability reporting across the European Union. These standards aim to enhance transparency and comparability of sustainability information, focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters.
We help our clients to navigate the complexity of ESRS sustainability reporting: from double materiality assessment to ESRS gap analysis and roadmap to implementation support across policies, processes and data. We also advise on system selection and data governance and help companies implement controls over data and reporting to meet assurance requirements.
The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) is a proposed EU directive aimed at fostering sustainable and responsible corporate behavior. It requires companies to identify, prevent, mitigate, and account for adverse impacts of their activities on human rights and the environment across their value chain.
Green Reg Advisory offers robust training, gap analysis, and roadmap development, alongside comprehensive implementation support for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). Our services ensure adherence to human rights and environmental due diligence, integral to the ESG reporting landscape.
In many cases, we are integrating CSDDD requirements into our CSRD & ESRS work so that environmental due diligence, human rights due diligence and governance requirements are implemented only once.
The EU Taxonomy is a classification system established by the European Union to guide investors and companies in transitioning to a low-carbon, sustainable economy. It defines and categorizes environmentally sustainable economic activities to provide a common language and clear criteria for sustainability reporting and investment decisions.
Green Reg Advisory provides expert services to help businesses align with the EU Taxonomy. Our taxonomy-related services are geared towards enhancing green investments and detailing the ecological transition in your business activities, vital for ESG reporting and sustainability assessments.
- We can assist you in gathering data for your CSRD reporting obligations.
- We can assist you in assessing your EU Taxonomy fit for sustainable finance purposes.
Demand currently is around support on EU Taxonomy calculations for the required reporting in CSRD reports, although we have assisted clients in other areas such as taxonomy-alignment for sustainability-linked loans and criteria for green loans.
The Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) is an EU regulation that aims to increase transparency in the sustainability of financial products. It requires financial market participants to disclose the sustainability risks, impacts, and opportunities of their products, promoting more informed investment decisions and the integration of sustainability factors into the investment process.
We assist clients in meeting their obligations to report under SFDR either as fund managers or individual funds. We help prepare policies and reports to meet the requirements of either Article 8 or Article 9.
The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) aims to develop a comprehensive global baseline of sustainability disclosure standards to meet investors’ information needs. These standards focus on providing consistent, comparable, and reliable sustainability information, primarily related to climate and other ESG factors, to enhance global sustainability reporting practices.
Green Reg Advisory offers comprehensive services for aligning with IFRS Sustainability Standards.
- We have prepared gap analyses for clients in comparing their current reporting (e.g. GRI) to ISSB requirements (IFRS S1 and S2).
- We have an AI-assisted tool for performing the gap analysis.
- We have prepared roadmaps for gathering data (numbers & narrative) for ISSB reporting.
Currently we see clients requesting training and education on IFRS Sustainability Standards and gap analysis work relating to their own sustainability reporting and comparing that to S1 and S2 requirements.
